The regulations of the children's drawings competition “Our peaceful sky”

1. Founders

The children's drawings competition “Our peaceful sky” was found by Kharkov’s aeroclub named by V.S. Grizodubova APO OPDU in 2016.

In 2018 social project are realized for the third time and are conducted among preschoolers and schoolchildren of all regions of Ukraine as a stage of annual Festival of aviation.

Timing of contest is from 1st of March in 2018 till 8th september in 2018

The competition is organized by organizing committee.

2. Goals and objectives

Goals of competition are the disclosure of creativity and the expansions of horizons of preschoolers and schoolchildren, improving knowledge and awareness of growing generation about aviation industry in Ukraine and in the world.

Objectives of competition are:

Education of active, comprehensively developed and inquisitive youth, supporting of talented children, popularization of aviation and creative specialties, of the aviation sports, formation of interest and love of aviation among the younger generation, call for peacetime in a country, forging a positive relationship in society aspiration to creation and development of state, strengthening of international relations.

3. Participants and conditions of the competition

3.1. Competition is held among preschoolers and students of educational institutions of I – III steps.

3.2. Timing of contest is from March till September in 2018.

3.3. Within the competition there are following nominations:

- The best individual work of participants till 7 years old in categories:

• 1st place prizes – are the tablet, diploma, invitation (2 tickets) for the Aviation Festival at the airfield “Korotich” in 8th of September, flight on the aircraft An-2; special prize from SE “Antonov”
• 2nd place prizes - are mobile telephone, diploma, invitation (2 tickets) for the Aviation Festival at the airfield “Korotich” in 8th of September, flight on the aircraft An-2;
• 3rd place prizes - are memory card (flash drive) with capacity 32 Gb, T-shirt with symbols of Kharkov’s aeroclub, cap with symbols of Kharkov’s aeroclub, diploma, invitation (2 tickets) for the Aviation Festival at the airfield “Korotich” in 8th of September, flight on the aircraft An-2;

- The best individual work of participants from 8 till 12 years old in categories:

• 1st place prizes are the tablet, diploma, invitation (2 tickets) for the Aviation Festival at the airfield “Korotich” in 8th of September, flight on the aircraft An-2; special prize from SE “Antonov”
• 2nd place prizes are mobile telephone, diploma, invitation (2 tickets) for the Aviation Festival at the airfield “Korotich” in 8th of September, flight on the aircraft An-2;
• 3rd place prizes are memory card (flash drive) with capacity 32 Gb, T-shirt with symbols of Kharkov’s aeroclub, cap with symbols of Kharkov’s aeroclub, diploma, invitation (2 tickets) for the Aviation Festival at the airfield “Korotich” in 8th of September, flight on the aircraft An-2;

- The best individual work of participants from 13 till 17 years old in categories:

• 1st place prizes are the tablet, diploma, invitation (2 tickets) for the Aviation Festival at the airfield “Korotich” in 8th of September, flight on the aircraft An-2; special prize from SE “Antonov”
• 2nd place prizes are mobile telephone, diploma, invitation (2 tickets) for the Aviation Festival at the airfield “Korotich” in 8th of September, flight on the aircraft An-2
• 3rd place prizes are memory card (flash drive) with capacity 32 Gb, T-shirt with symbols of Kharkov’s aeroclub, cap with symbols of Kharkov’s aeroclub, diploma, invitation (2 tickets) for the Aviation Festival at the airfield “Korotich” in 8th of September, flight on the aircraft An-2;

- Nomination “Adult assistants to young creators”

• Among institution, departments, offices and departments of education, which works come from, among which will be finalists, tv-set will be played out. Тhey also will receive 50 tickets to the festival.

In the individual order, specialized institutions for children with special needs or deprived of parental care, where works come from, will be encouraged by members of jury and organizers of competition.

3.4. General conditions of competition.

Departments of education, art studious, public organizations and private person can submit works for the competition.

Only original works are accepted. Copies, photocopies and electronic versions are not evaluated. Works, which don’t meet the requirements of this provision, will be disqualified.

3.4.1. Participant can provide unlimited number of works.

3.4.2. Works can be made in any technique, in any genre and using any instruments

3.4.3. Format of works

Works should be making at paper of format A3, A2 and A1 without frameworks and delimited borders.

Thematically pictures can contain any images, which, in the opinion of the participant, will reveal the declared topic “Our peaceful sky”

3.4.4 For the participation in competition next must be submitted:

- application for the participation in competition (there indicates next: surname, name; age of participant, contact details – place of residence – district, locality, name and number of educational institution, grade, contact telephone number);

The application must be legibly filled in accordance with the form (supplement 1) and added to work. Works without application are not allowed to participate.

3.5. Deadline for submission of entries is to 1st of July in 2018

3.6. Applications and works are accepted:

In Kharkov’s aeroclub by the address: 16A, Plekhanovskaya str., 61001 Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine
Works can be send by mail into organizing committee: addressed to head Filatov S.N., Kharkov’s aeroclub, 16A, Plekghanovskaya str, 61036 Kharkiv, Kharkiv region, Ukraine

3.7. Works, which entered the competition, do not return, and becomes property of organizing committee and can be used at the discretion of organizing committee.

3.8. Program and events of competition, and other questions about contest are determined by organizing committee.

4. Determined of winners

4.1. For the determination of works, which will take part in the final of competition, organizing committee creates special expert commission includes 12 people among staff and members of aeroclub, and partners and organizers of contests.

4.2. Members of commission elect head of commission from their composition.

4.3. Every member of commission in the period from 1st of July till 15th of July gets acquainted with the competitive works and estimates work by 20 point scale.

4.4. Based on the results of acquaintance with the competitive works, protocol is made and is certified by the signatures of each member of the commission.

4.5. Head of commission transfers the protocol to the secretary of organizing committee and returns works.

4.6 Its creating competitive jury to identify winners and laureates includes 15 people in which are invited specialists of profile aviation companies and government departments, the heads of enterprises and experts of art, and also high-class pilots, skydivers, other representatives of aviation, representatives of mass media and authorities.

4.7. Jury acquaintance with works, which came to the final in period from 15th of July to 30th of July in 2018, and estimates work by 20-point scale.

4.8. Organizing committee complies a protocol, which is signed of all members of jury.

4.9. If few participants of competition get same number of points, decision about winner are made by jury.

5. Awarding of the winners of contest

5.1. Awarding of the winners of contest occurs at the airfield “Korotich” in Kharkov district of Kharkov region in 8th of September within Festival of Aviation.

5.2. All finalists, which were identified by jury, receive two tickets to Festival of Aviation in 8th of September (entrance for children till 14 years old is free).

5.2. Participants, who take 1st – 3rd place, receive invitation (2 tickets) to the Aviation Festival at the airfield “Korotich”, they are awarded with valuable prizes in accordance to their category and with diplomas, and also get an opportunity to make introductory flight on one of the aircrafts of Kharkov’s aeroclub

5.3. Participants, who become laureates in different nominations, get invitation (2 tickets) to the Aviation Festival at the airfield “Korotich”, and awarded with a diplomas and get opportunity to make introductory flight on one of the aircrafts of Kharkov’s aeroclub in each nomination jury determine.

5.4. Partners and members of jury can found nominations and award participant of competition on their discretion.

Attention!

For introductory flight will be allowed only persons, who passed medical examination by a doctor of Kharkov’s aeroclub at the airfield. (children age to 12 years old are allowed accominated by one of the parents).

6. Contest funding

Contest funding is made by Kharkov’s aeroclub named by V.S. Grizodubova APO OPDU and other sources, which are not prohibited by law of Ukraine.

7. International program

7.1 National selection for the participation in the international competition The FAI Young Artists Contest

7.1.1 «The FAI Young Artists Contest» is annual drawings competition among children and youth from 7 till 18 years old, which held by international federation of aviation sport (FAI)

In 2018 children’s drawing competition “Our peaceful flight” are held as a stage of a national selection for international contest.

7.1.2 Students of associations on the interests of educational institutions and other institutions and individual participant are invited.

Every year FAI propose different topics for the drawings, but it always connect with aviation.

For participation in «The FAI Young Artists Contest» drawings must consist images of aviation sport which recognized by FAI:

• Aeronotics
• Gliding sport
• Skydiving
• Aerobatics
• Hang gliding and paragliding
• Airplane sport
• Helicopter sport
• Ultralight aviation
• Space records

7.1.3 Requirement format is A3 (297x420 mm). Work should not be formalized or delineated.

7.1.4 Participants are divided into 3 age groups:

• Group I – is Junior category (date of birth from 1st of January in 2008 till 31st of December in 2011) 7-10 years old.
• Group II – is Middle category (date of birth from 1st of January in 2004 till 31st of December in 2007) 11-14 years old.
• Group III – Adult category (date of birth from 1st of January in 2000 till 31st of December in 2003) 15-18 years old.

7.1.5 Works of winners and medalists of competition of each age category ( 9 works) will be send into headquarters of FAI in Lozana (Switzerland) for participation in international final of competition. Winners and medalists of international final of competition are awarded with medals and diplomas FAI in accordance to rules of competition, and their works are placed on the official website www.fai.org.

7.2 Nomination of international children’s television festival “Dityatko” (conditions of participation are written in Regulations of festival “Dityatko”)

7.2.1 Videos duration to 15 minutes, which are made by children’s studio (collective or author of school age) or in cooperation with children’s studio are accepted for participation in nomination.

Conditions of participations are according to Regulations of television festival “Dityatko”.

In the works for television festival “Dityatko” presence of aviation equipment in the frame is not necessary. Any creative decisions are welcome and varieties of ideas regarding the disclosure of the topic “Our peaceful sky” are discussed. Audiovisual materials of any genre are allowed to participate.

7.2.2 Awarding of winner of nomination “Our peaceful sky” will occur during closing of ceremonies of television festival “Dityatko” in the cinema “Dovjenko” on 8th of September in 2018..

The prize for the winner of nomination is a netbook.

7.2.3 During final of television festival “Dityatko” on 7th of September in 2018 excursion of all finalists who will present in Kharkov is planed into airfield “Korotich”, where they will acquaintance with equipment in the aviation museum. In addition, finalists of “Dityatko” will able to see the rehearsals of performances of the best aviators of country during preparation to V annual Kharkov’s aviation festival, which will held in 8th and 9th of September in 2018.

7.2.4 Participants of television festival “Dityatko”, who will be finalists in nomination “Our peaceful sky” and will invited to Kharkov into final, are awarded with flights on the aircraft An-2 or on the helicopter Mi-2. Flights will be on 7th of September in 2018 during excursion at the airfield “Korotich”.

8. Program of contest “Our peaceful sky”

Program of contest “Our peaceful sky” is formed by organizing committee

The list of events will be made public after the closing of acceptance of works on the website http://aeroclub.net.ua/

Among the activities:

• Ceremony of awards within Festival of Aviation (8th of September in 2018)
• Exhibition of works of winners in information and exhibition center “Buzok” (after 8th of September)
• Creative meetings and informative excursions for finalists (order will be defined after 1st of July in 2018)
